France is divided into several departments. Brittany consists of four departments namely: Ille-et-Vilaine, Cotes d'Armor, Finistere and Morbihan. All departments have their own unique characteristics but have a common denominator, the beauty of Brittany. All Breton departments bordering sea and also have a wonderful interior. Finistere is best known for its coastlines. Finistere means the end of the land and the department does its name. Finistere is characterized by a huge variety of coastline. Finistere is next rugged cliffs and impressive lighthouses but also quiet, child friendly bays with white sandy beaches. In addition, the department has many authentic medieval towns such as Morlaix, Roscoff, Brest, Crozon, Quimper and Pont-Aven.

The municipality Taule is located near the beautiful town of Morlaix. The old town of Morlaix is ??characterized by the characteristic harbor, bridge and medieval half-timbered houses. Here you will find plenty of cozy restaurants and entertainment. In the new districts of Morlaix can be often shopped in stores and boutiques. Shopping is done in the giant supermarkets. You will also find real Breton coast places like Carantec, Saint Pol de Léon and Roscoff with lots of nice shops and good restaurants. A visit to the lively markets of these places should not be missed. In the port of Roscoff for example you buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats. We gladly lay them on the barbeque for you that evening. In Roscoff arrives and departs the ferry to the UK and is about 20 minutes away from us.
Brittany has always been dependent on the sea. All departments are on the sea and the coast is never far away. Yet a visit to the interior of the departments is also highly recommended. In the interior you will find impressive castles, beautiful forests and picturesque farming villages. The mountains of the Monts d'Arrée are a few tens of kilometers away from our house, ideal for a nice day trip. The Monts d'Arrée is perfect for a nice walk or bike ride. The enchanted forest of Huelgoat or a visit to the castle of Trévarez are definitely worth it.
